Rent Historic Roedde House

A charming venue for small events

The Roedde House in Barclay Heritage Square is a memorable setting for any small event. Fully restored in authentic turn-of-the-century style, it provides a warm, intimate atmosphere for your special occasion. Period furniture, paintings and artifacts add to the ambience, as does the house's location, surrounded by an Edwardian garden. It's perfect for:

Roedde House has provided the setting for all of these, and even appeared in movies.

The public portion of the house consists of parlour, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and study, as well as a large garden with Victorian gazebo. Unlike a conventional museum, the chairs, tables, sofas, etc may be used (respectfully) by guests.

Small gatherings will appreciate the period charm and warmth of this old home, with its reflections of family life in the early 1900s.

The interior of the house and surrounding garden provide good photographic backdrops. Guests will enjoy browsing amid the many fine Edwardian furnishings and artifacts. A fully reconditioned 1893 Steinway upright piano can add greatly to the enjoyment of guests.

For catered events, the house has a small modern kitchen adjacent to the old-fashioned family kitchen, which is available for heating and serving food. Amenities include a range, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and a convenient back-door parking and loading area.

Roedde House can accommodate

  • 45 people for a reception
  • 12-14 for a sit-down dinner
  • 30-35 seated for a lecture or concert

Rental Rate

$100.00 per hour with a minimum rental of three hours.

Parking

Please note that there are only four parking spots designated for Roedde House. There is ample parking two blocks away at the Landmark Hotel and Conference Centre, 1400 Robson Street.
