Roedde House Museum in Barclay Heritage Square is a charming location for any occasion. The house has been authentically restored to its turn-of-the-century appearance with period furniture, paintings and artifacts. Its location in Barclay Heritage Square, surrounded by lawns and gardens make Roedde House an ideal venue for small weddings and receptions. As well, the lovely interior is perfect for birthday lunches,teas, workshops, lectures, meetings, musical evenings, and book launches. Rental rates are reasonable.

The public portion of the house consists of parlour, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and study, as well as a large garden with Victorian gazebo. Unlike a conventional museum, the chairs, tables, sofas, etc may be used (respectfully) by guests.

Small gatherings will appreciate the period charm and warmth of this old home, with its reflections of family life in the early 1900s.

The interior of the house and surrounding garden provide good photographic backdrops. Guests will enjoy browsing amid the many fine Edwardian furnishings and artifacts. A fully reconditioned 1893 Steinway upright piano can add greatly to the enjoyment of guests.

For catered events, the house has a small modern kitchen adjacent to the old-fashioned family kitchen, which is available for heating and serving food. Amenities include a range, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and a convenient back-door parking and loading area.

Please note that there are only four parking spots designated for Roedde House. There is ample parking two blocks away at the Landmark Hotel and Conference Centre, 1400 Robson Street.
