Movie at the Museum: Alice in Wonderland
March 23 @ 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Join us for a screening of Alice in Wonderland from 1915! The screening will take place in the museum’s historic 1890’s parlour space for an intimate and unique setting! Tea and treats will be served.
This silent, dark fantasy, film adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic 1865 novel, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, was directed and written by W. W. Young and stars Viola Savoy as Alice. This film was the first Alice film to combine the chapters from Through the Looking Glass with those of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. However, most of the Looking Glass Portion is lost. The film is under 1 hour in length.
Synopsis: Alice goes with her sister to a picnic and then she falls asleep and starts dreaming about a wonderland full of talking animals and walking playing cards.
