Mrs. Beeton’s Coffee Cake

Follow along as volunteer Madeline Baldrey teaches us how to make a Coffee Cake from an early edition of Mrs. Beeton’s ‘Cookery Book’. Mrs. Beeton was a popular Victorian-Era authority on household management and made famous by her 1861 publication, “Mrs. Beeton’s Book of Household Management”. Madeline is baking this recipe in the Roedde House Museum’s restored 1893 kitchen.
